Swiss developer DHG Properties plans to invest over US$300 million in the UAE, a top official revealed to Gulf Property at the launch of its second project, Helvetia Verde, in Dubai. The market newcomer is pushing to expand its portfolio in the UAE through the launch of its Helvetia brand and debut project Helvetia Residences. The latest launch, Helvetia Verde, is located in Meydan Horizon, next to the upcoming Metro line.

DHG Properties manages a land bank of six plots in the UAE and is actively looking for more plots across the country, including Dubai South and Abu Dhabi, as part of its US$300 million investment plan. Primarily a family business, DHG’s funds are self-financed, Milos Antic, Executive Vice Chairman of DHG Properties, said.

The developer launched its operations in Dubai in 2023 and progressed into development of Helvetia Residences, completing the vertical structure last September – marking record time within a year after launch. It is part of the Swiss conglomerate DHG Group, a thirty-year old company with operations ranging from real estate development and construction to property and facilities management. The group’s portfolio currently hosts 300 projects with a development value of US$3 billion in European countries. It currently owns assets worth US$1 billion in Europe that provide it with healthy cash returns.

“We are ready to invest over US$300 million as soon as we see an opportunity,” Milos Antic, Executive Vice Chairman of DHG Properties, told Gulf Property.

“We bring Swiss precision to Dubai vision to deliver the best. At the moment we are aggressively looking for new plots of land to develop and as soon as we get them, we will launch new projects in the UAE, where rules and regulations are very clear, processes are efficient and fast. We established our company two years ago and we are getting ready to deliver our first project, launching our second project now and third project next month – which would have taken years to achieve in other countries.

“Institutional private companies from Switzerland are setting their offices in the UAE due to quick regulatory approvals. As a developer in Switzerland, it took us nearly 10 years to build a 45-storey tower. Whereas, a same-sized project in Jumeirah Village Circle took only 22 months.”

In addition to DHG Properties, a sizeable number of international developers who forayed into the UAE market have experienced rapid expansion, bringing in foreign capital. Both investors and homeowners have grown in large numbers over the last couple of years, particularly post-Covid period, thanks to the country’s efforts to bounce back from a period of instability and inactivity.

Helvetia Verde, DHG Properties’ newest project in Meydan Horizon, hosts 108 units across 20+ floors. Each floor encompasses three to seven homes. Units range from one- to three-bedroom layouts spanning from 857 square feet to 3,000 square feet. Some of the units feature gardens, curating villa-like ambience. Construction is scheduled to begin at the start of next year and handover will take place in Q1 2028.

“Dubai’s real estate market is experiencing strong demand for future-forward communities that offer both lifestyle appeal and long-term investment value,” said Blagoje Antic, DHG’s Founder and CEO. “Helvetia Verde responds perfectly to the market trend, as an attractive new development in a high-growth district, crafted with Swiss precision, and designed to deliver enduring quality for homeowners and investors alike. Having already sold more than 40 percent of units in Helvetia Verde, we expect this percentage to rise rapidly in the coming days following its very successful launch.”

Residents can enjoy a full suite of lifestyle amenities – indoor and outdoor gyms, yoga area, jogging track, swimming pool, and children’s play area, all set within landscaped greenery.

Strategically located in Meydan Horizon, Helvetia Verde offers effortless access to Dubai’s landmarks, with just 15 minutes to Downtown Dubai and 20 minutes to Dubai International Airport – with the upcoming Yellow Metro Line set to further enhance connectivity. Nearby attractions include the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary minutes away, and the Meydan Racecourse District.
